A family-owned company based in Álava with more than half a century of experience, specializing in the manufacture of furniture for airports and other public buildings. Founded in 1974, it is located in the Júndiz industrial park in Álava. Recognized as a leader in its sector in Europe, with exports to five continents accounting for more than 90% of its turnover, Imat is particularly strong in airport seating. The benches manufactured by the Alava-based company are a high added-value, top-quality, vandal-proof product.
In Spain, its main customer is Aena, and it has carried out flagship projects such as equipping Terminal T4 at Madrid Airport and Terminal T1 at Barcelona Airport. In addition, Imat has equipped major international airports around the world, including in Italy, Serbia, and Portugal in Europe; Brazil and Chile in the Americas; Egypt in Africa; and Dubai and Bangladesh in Asia, among others. It is currently developing a new bench that will seek to adapt to the new needs of passengers, including a strong demand for electronic solutions.
