José Antonio Jainaga is an Industrial Engineer from the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineers of Bilbao. In January 1977 he joined the Nuclear division of the Sener group. Later he joined the French multinational Michelin (1978-1998), where he became Executive Vice President and General Manager for Europe of the Tourism Tires business, with responsibility for 20 factories, 28,000 employees and annual sales of 3,000 million euros.
In 1998 he started working at Sidenor as General Manager and later, after the acquisition of Sidenor by the Brazilian multinational Gerdau, he was appointed CEO. In 2016, Gerdau initiated a process of divestment of certain assets, which led to the purchase of Sidenor by the company’s directors (MBO), a process that he led and that led him to his current position as Chairman.
Additionally, he is the founder of Mirai, of which he is also its President.
José Antonio Jainaga was a director of Cadenas Vicinay (2006-2016) and Dos Grados Capital (2018-2022) and is currently a director at Teknia, President of the Association of Companies with Large Energy Consumption (AEGE) and Vice President of the Association for the Progress of Management (APD Norte).
In all his years of professional career he has received multiple awards, among others:
Marco Pineda Gómez has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Public University of the Basque Country (UPV-Sarriko) and has completed the PADE (Senior Management Program) at IESE.
He began his professional career in 1997 as a controller at Gaiker. Shortly thereafter he joined Accenture, where he became a manager. During his time at Accenture he worked for companies such as CIE Automotive, Grupo Antolín, Astilleros Españoles or Babcock Wilcox. He accompanied many of these companies in their international expansion developing functions related to financial viability plans for the creation of new businesses, search and negotiation of sources of financing, definition of economic-financial management models at the international corporate level, implementation of dashboards and reporting systems, and new management models with implementation of SAP in different international plants, etc.
In 2004 he joined CIE Automotive as Controller of the machining division, with an important dedication to the acquisition of various groups in Europe.
In 2008 he joined Sidenor (at that time, Gerdau Europa) and became CFO.
In 2015 he became the General Manager of Elkargi, a leading guarantee society (SGR) in Spain by volume of guarantees granted.
In 2017 he returned to the Sidenor group where he holds the position of Corporate General Manager.
Since its creation, he has led the Mirai project, in which he is responsible for its business development as Corporate General Manager.
Between 2020 and 2022, he has been a director of Dos Grados Capital and Sidenhol.
In 2022 he joined the Advisory Board of Private Equity Fineco – Kutxabank.
Along with his professional work, he has been a speaker at various forums and congresses such as the Country Risk Conference (COFACE), the Professional Finance Forum of ELKARGI SGR and APD. He has also been a lecturer in the Executive Programme in Financial Management (PEDF) developed jointly by Deusto Business School and Elkargi. He participates assiduously in various media with opinion articles on economic matters.
Marco Pineda Gómez es Licenciado en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales por la Universidad Pública del País Vasco (UPV-Sarriko) y ha realizado el PADE (Programa de Alta Dirección) del IESE.
Inició su carrera profesional en 1997 como controller en Gaiker. Poco después se incorporó a Accenture, donde llegó a ser gerente. Durante su etapa en Accenture trabajó para empresas como CIE Automotive, Grupo Antolín, Astilleros Españoles o Babcock Wilcox. Acompañó a muchas de estas compañías en su expansión internacional desarrollando funciones relacionadas con planes de viabilidad financiera para la creación de nuevos negocios, búsqueda y negociación de fuentes de financiación, definición de modelos de gestión económico-financieros a nivel corporativo internacional, implantaciones de cuadros de mando, sistemas de reporting, nuevos modelos de gestión con implantación de SAP en distintas plantas internacionales, etc.
En 2004 se incorporó como Controller de la división de mecanizado a CIE Automotive, con una importante dedicación a la adquisición de diversos grupos por Europa.
En 2008 fichó por Sidenor (en aquel momento, Gerdau Europa) llegando a ocupar el cargo de CFO.
En 2015 pasó a ocupar la Dirección General de Elkargi, sociedad de garantía líder en España por volumen de avales concedidos.
En 2017 volvió al grupo Sidenor donde ocupa la posición de Director General Corporativo.
Lidera desde su creación el proyecto Mirai, en el cuál es responsable de su desarrollo de negocio como Director General Corporativo.
Entre el año 2020 y 2022, ha sido consejero de Dos Grados Capital y de Sidenhol.
En 2022 se incorporó al Consejo Asesor de Private Equity Fineco – Kutxabank.
En 2023 se incorporó como consejero independiente al consejo de administración de Kutxabank.
Junto a sus labores profesionales, ha sido ponente en diversos foros y congresos tales como la Conferencia Riesgo País (COFACE), el Foro Profesional de Finanzas de ELKARGI SGR y APD. Asimismo, ha sido profesor del Programa Ejecutivo en Dirección Financiera (PEDF) desarrollado conjuntamente por la Deusto Business School y Elkargi. Participa asiduamente en diversos medios de comunicación con artículos de opinión en materia económica.
